Breeding healthy & happy Myotonic goats with quality in mind. MGR registered and clean tested herd annually.
We are a family of four, living just west of the Sierra Foothills in Northern California. We started out raising our children in a great neighborhood with a large open field where we would walk our dogs and roam. As the city grew, the land was developed with over 600 new homes. We missed time in nature and we felt the pull to move toward open spaces in the country. We found our perfect spot when we fell in love with the stunning sunsets above a lake.
Our dream of starting a hobby farm started small, with two goats and a few chickens. We quickly realized just how entertaining a farm can be. Sure, its a lot of work and heartache too but it also allows us to get outside, often the whole family, everyday. This time is priceless. Our younger son got involved with the local 4H chapter and we have met some wonderful people in the community. Our older son is living the commuter college life. The hubby works through the week but can be found on one project or another every weekend. I stay home tending to the farm and home. Life is good on the farm.
We have learned so much from both friends and life experiences along the way. If there is one thing I've learned on the farm is that just when you think you have it down, you quickly realize you have more to learn! We are excited to have a clear direction for our little farm and happy to share our passion and knowledge with others.
We are a small farm in Northern California with a variety of animals including our two couch potato Great Danes, and two livestock guard dogs. We also have lots of chickens and some guinea fowl running around. We breed quality, registered goats for both show and pet. We have a few Toggenburg and Boer, but our main focus is Myotonic fainting goats.
Myotonic goats, also known as fainting goats, are known for being easy keepers. They’re easy on fences, very docile and don’t tend to be escape artists either. They come in a wide variety of colors and sizes as well. Every farm has a different preference on size and color. While we focus on conformation and health first, I have a love for many different colors and patterns. While we do have quite a few standard sized Myos, I adore all things mini. I specialize in breeding minis with structure in mind first and foremost. We have also just added a few MICRO sized Myos to our herd so stay tuned for some really itty bittys!
We are proud members of the ADGA, ABGA, and MGR and all of our goats are registered. We show in both MGR and FGG shows.
Our herd is clean and tested annually for CL, CAE and Johnes
